At St. Jerome Academy, we aim to go beyond teaching skills and imparting knowledge to shape hearts, minds, and souls.
Our vision is to provide students and families with a transformative educational experience grounded in the Catholic intellectual tradition and classical pedagogy. We integrate the Montessori method in our early childhood program to lay a strong foundation for the trivium model that shapes our elementary and middle school curriculum.
Our academic program is designed to nurture wise, virtuous citizens who can think critically, communicate eloquently, and engage meaningfully with the world around them. We start by fostering self-discipline and a love of learning in our Montessori Children's House. This approach emphasizes concrete knowledge and hands-on materials to equip students aged 3-6 with essential skills and independence.
As students transition into elementary grades, our focus shifts to a classical liberal arts curriculum centered on the trivium to build knowledge, logic, and rhetoric. Students are immersed in the Great Books as they study history, philosophy, literature, math, sciences, arts, and religion. Discussion, reflection, and analytical writing are emphasized to shape thoughtful leaders grounded in moral virtue.
By blending the Montessori method with a robust classical education, we provide a unified academic experience that meets the developmental needs of children from Preschool to 8th grade. Our cohesive approach builds solid minds and characters through a challenging curriculum that imparts the wisdom of Western civilization. We empower students to live purposeful lives, always seeking truth, goodness, and beauty.
