The Catholic Parishioner Grant provides tuition assistance to countervail active Catholic families' sacrifices to support their parishes. To be eligible for the grant, the student and family must meet and annually certify the following criteria:
Parents must submit a timely and complete TADS Financial Aid form to qualify for financial-need awards from the Archdiocese of Washington and St. Jerome Academy.
The Archdiocese of Washington (ADW) calculates and awards financial aid to cover approximately 15% of the demonstrated need based on the TADS application.
St. Jerome Academy and Parish applies any financial aid awards from ADW toward, not in addition to, economic assistance given by the school. We offer extra tuition assistance to families with one or more children enrolled, depending on their calculated needs.
If a family has one child registered, they can qualify for up to a 35% tuition reduction, subject to their need. Should a family have multiple children enrolled, we guarantee at least a 17.5% tuition reduction for the second child, a 35% reduction for the third child, and a complete 100% reduction from the fourth child onwards.
We apply appropriate reductions if the family's calculated need indicates it's necessary.
The Broadening Options and Opportunities for Students Today (BOOST) Scholarship Program provides tuition assistance scholarships from the State of Maryland for students from low-income families to attend eligible private schools, including St. Jerome Academy. Apply at the Maryland Department of Education website in early spring.
